Obituary of Robert L. Fredrick

Robert " Bob" L. Fredrick, 69, of Bemus Point, NY, passed away at 7:17 pm Thursday January 19, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua. Bob was born on August 23, 1953, in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Samuel and Marie Schiavone Fredrick. He was a 1971 graduate of Jamestown High School. Bob was a member of Holy Apostles Parish, SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Jamestown, NY. Before his retirement he worked at Weber Knapp Co. for 30 years and at Jamestown Elec-Plating Works Inc. for 20 years. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a huge Buffalo Bills fan and watched every game. He also loved working in the yard and had a passion for cars. Surviving is his high school sweetheart Janet Walsh Fredrick, whom he married July 21, 1973 at SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown, NY; two sons: Jason (Edward) Fredrick of Jamestown and Matthew (Ashlee) Fredrick of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Andrew Staples-Fredrick, Stella Fredrick, and Colton Fredrick; his brother James Fredrick; two sisters-in-law: Kathleen (Mark) Walsh and Kimberly (Bob) Walsh; an aunt, uncle, several nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and his dog "his girl" Zoey. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Josephine Cammarata Fredrick and Frank and Elizabeth "Lucy" Manuelle Schiavone; father-in-law, Roger Walsh; mother-in-law, Marilyn Casamento and a brother-in-law, Steven Walsh. A service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
