Obituary of Ann E. Vine

Ann E. Vine, 81, of Sinclairville, NY, formerly of High Acres, Bemus Point, NY, passed away at 9:47 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in her home. A lifelong area resident, she was born July 14, 1941, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Albert L. and Pauline Elizabeth Hallquist Hitchcock, Sr. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Acu-Rite Company and had earlier worked for the former Firch's Bakery. She was previously a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion, Falconer, NY. Surviving is her niece and caregiver, Teresa (Josh) Monfort of Sinclairville, NY, special nieces and nephew, Jennifer Johnson, Michael Hitchcock, Jeanette Kent, and four brothers, Albert "Skip" (Kay) Hitchcock of Ellington, NY, Darwood (Charlene) Hitchcock, Paul Hitchcock both of Sinclairville, NY, Terry Hitchcock of Conewango Valley, NY, as well as several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. "Bill" Vine who died May 18, 2016, two sisters, Beth Chandler, Cora Lynn Johnson and two brothers, Rex Hitchcock, and David Hitchcock. The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 4, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason and Rev. Tammy Clayton, pastors of the Peace Wesleyan Church, Falconer, NY will officiate. Burial will be in the Allen Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 pm Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Peace Wesleyan Church, 126 West James St. Falconer, NY 14733.
