Obituary of Cirila H. Vazquez

Cirila H. Vazquez, 85, of Jamestown, died Monday March 27, 2023, in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born July 9, 1937, in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Vincente and Eufemia Olivencia Ortiz. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Hispanic Congregation. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are two children Celia (Andrew) Wilson and Osvaldo (Kim) Vazquez both of Jamestown; four granddaughters Ashlee (Matt) Fredrick of Jamestown, Alexa (Eric Leathers) Vazquez of Pittsburgh, PA, Andraya (Vanessa Horton) Vazquez of Buffalo and Analese (Chris Zuffranieri) Wilson of Buffalo; three great grandchildren Andrew Staples-Fredrick, Stella Fredrick and Colton Fredrick all of Jamestown and two brothers Robert (Elina) Ortiz and Rafael (Rosa) Ortiz both of Hormigueros, Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Vazquez, whom she married September 27, 1959 and who died July 29, 2008 and a sister Margarita Marchany.
