Obituary of Clara R. Anderson

Clara R. Anderson, 97, of Warren, formerly of Clearwater, FL, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Warren Manor with her granddaughter and grandson-in-law by her side. She was born in Jamestown, NY on August 24, 1925, to her parents, the late Jay and Florence Wheeler Rhinehart. Clara was a 1943 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Jamestown Mutual Insurance and spent 22 years as a dedicated office worker. In the later years of her life, she spent much time enjoying the Florida sunshine and doing her favorite things such as visiting the Botanical Gardens and Safety Harbor in Clearwater. One of her favorite activities was watching the manatees. More than anything, she loved time spending with her grandchildren and recently, her great-grandson. They were the light of her life. Clara will be remembered as an exceptionally strong and independent woman which held true until the very end of her life. She never wavered with motivation to remain as independent as she could be. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff of Warren Manor and Hospice of Warren County for the wonderful care provided to Clara throughout the past 2 years. Surviving, is her son, David (Kristen) Samuelson of Jamestown; two grandchildren, Hannah (Cody) Pacheco of Jamestown and Jacob Samuelson of Suffolk, VA; a great grandson, Vincent Pacheco and a dear friend of almost 70 years, Cecile Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Anderson, whom she married March 24, 1990, and a brother, Harold Rhinehart. No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
