Obituary of Gloria A. Handzel

Gloria A. Handzel, 90, of Jamestown, died Saturday April 1, 2023, in Star Hospice House, Lakewood. She was born May 5, 1932, in Cumberland, RI, a daughter of the late Elmer and Sophie Heroux. She was employed by Automatic Voting Machine which later became Sequoia Pacific, in the accounting department. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and participating in a bowling league. Surviving is her husband William Handzel, whom she married October 7, 1965; three children Leslie (Eddie Dichter) Handzel of Henderson, NV, Stephen (Reanna) Handzel of Erie, PA, and Lou Handzel of Jamestown; two grandchildren Noah and Finleigh Handzel and a sister Lee (Rob) Robinson of Melvern, PA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Heroux. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
