Obituary of Michael P. Hotchkiss

Michael P. Hotchkiss, 46, of Chautauqua Ave. in Jamestown, passed away Wednesday morning, May 3, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua following a lengthy illness. He was born in Warsaw, NY on Jan. 6, 1977, the son of Peter B. and Marlene Grimes Hotchkiss. Michael was a graduate of Cuba-Rushford Central School, as well as ITT Technical School, and had been employed by Aero Instruments & Avionics in N. Tonawanda until his illness. An area resident for more than 15 years, he belonged to Lakewood Baptist Church. He had a love of playing guitar and composing music. Along with his parents of Houghton, NY, surviving are three sisters: Kristine (Donald) Worthington of Rushford, NY, Kimberly (William) Kester of Jamestown, and Rebecca (Rich Hartman) Curcio of Freedom, NY; and his nieces and nephews: Aaron and Andrew Worthington, Marleena (Collin) Hanson, and Elijah and Calista Kester. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 19th at the Lakewood Baptist Church, 150 Erie St., Lakewood, NY 14750. Memorials may be made to Ligonier Ministries at www.ligonier.org.
