Obituary of Allen H. Loucks

Allen H. Loucks, 99, died Sunday January 25, 2015, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A native of Jamestown, he was born July 2, 1915, a son of Charles and Myrtle LeRoy Loucks. From 1933-34 he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Rainier National Park in Washington State. He later served in the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1943. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Watson manufacturing as a factory worker for 32 years. He was a member of Jamestown Moose Lodge, War Vets Recreation, Ira Lou Spring Post #149 American Legion and the Ellery Rod and Gun Club. He loved agriculture, gardening and fishing. Surviving are grandchildren Tracie Brisson and Todd and Troy Ohlson; great grandson Corey Brisson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Craig Loucks; a daughter Donnette Ohlson; five sisters Irene McIntyre, Ines Cooper, Iva Arnold, Dorothy Loucks and Madeline and four brothers Alton, Willard, Harley, and Herbert Loucks. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Avenue Extension, Jamestown, NY 14701.
