Obituary of Audrey E. Franchina

Audrey E. Franchina, 85, formerly of 111 King St., Jamestown and East Randolph, NY, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in WCA Hospital. She was the widow of Sebastian J. "Joe" Franchina, whom she married April 1, 1948 and who died May 22, 2008. She was born June 16, 1929 in Corry, PA and a Jamestown resident since 1948. Audrey loved fishing, Buffalo Bills football and especially watching her grandchildren's sporting events and recitals. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by two sons, John (Peni) Franchina of Texas and Randy (Dianne) Franchina of Gerry; two daughters, Linda (Ken) Burkey of Warren, OH and Brenda (Terry) Vanderwork of Clymer; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Franchina of Jamestown;16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and expecting her first great- great-grandchild in May; a brother, John W. Marsh of Jamestown; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Leroy A. Buell; her mother, Gladys Burns Buell Marsh and step-father, William M. Marsh; in 2012 a son, Sebastian J. Franchina, Jr.; sister, Autumn Aldrich; brother, Louis Buell; and two infant brothers, John and Keith Buell. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Samuel Pellerito will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to Susan G.
