Obituary of Angelo L. Madonia

Angelo L. "Papa" Madonia, 71, of 129 Fulton St. Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. A lifelong Jamestown area resident, he was born October 3, 1943 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Ralph and Mary Gatto Madonia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from June 25, 1964 to June 16, 1966. Before his retirement he was employed by the Cummins Engine Company for several years. He was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion, Falconer, NY, and was an avid golfer playing for many years at the South Hills Country Club. Surviving is a daughter, Christina (Wesley) Knisley of Sugar Grove, PA, a son, Stephen (Marcel) Madonia of Jamestown, NY, five grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, and Samantha Loewenheim of Sugar Grove, PA, Hannah and Alexis Madonia both of Jamestown, NY and two sisters, Carmella Klein of Falconer, NY, JoAnn Conti of North Carolina. The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Clyde Mohl, pastor of the Lakeside Bible Chapel, Bemus Point, NY will officiate. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750.
