Obituary of Harry J. Christensen

Harry J. Christensen, 73, of 116 Sampson Street, died Tuesday July 7, 2015, in his home. He was born June 4, 1942, in Sherman, the son of the late Irving and Alice Spinks Christensen. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving from 1960-63. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Lutheran Social Services in the maintenance department. Surviving are two children Ryan Christensen of Jamestown and Lisa Christensen Shank of Mascoutah, IL and three grandchildren Kaylee and Alexis Christensen and Skyllar Talhelm. He was preceded in death by his wife Melinda Troutman Christensen who died May 17, 2015; a daughter Desaray Christensen and two sons Harry Christensen, Jr. and Skip Christensen. No funeral service or visitation will be observed. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any Disabled American Veterans charity.
