Obituary of Mary J. Kindred

Mary J. Kindred, 67, of 112 Hazzard St. Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 5, 2015 in WCA Hospital of natural causes. She was born October 5, 1947 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Herman J. and Eloise Hulburd Harrington. Mary's family was most important to her. She loved family reunions and was a caregiver to many friends and family. She was always thinking of others before herself. Mary was the glue that held the family together. Surviving are her companion of 33 years, Nino Calamunci with whom she made her home; three children, Mary Barr and Jay Reagan, both of Jamestown; Carmella Calamunci of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Sasha, Jessica, Yasmine, Azaria, Skylar, and Bitty; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Hale of Alaska; Barbara Harrington of Warren, PA; a brother, Larry J. Harrington of Perrysburg, NY; and 17 half brothers and sisters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Burton Lee Barr Jr.; twin sisters who died in 1944; a sister Eloise Paulson; and her grandparents, Bern and Betty Gostomski who raised her. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday August 8, 2015 in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Sam Pellerito of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
