Surviving are several nieces and nephews in Lancaster, Pa., Indiana, PA., and Rochester, NY. Through his extended family, he also is survived by many nieces and nephews in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and New York that were very close to him. Most of these helped him celebrate his 91st birthday at the Frewsburg Rest Home with a party. With no children of his own, he enjoyed having extended family together. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Edna Jean Hauck whom he married November 26, 1949 and who died November 7, 2011; two sisters, Rosemarie Nicodemus, and Kathryn Keith; two brothers, Francis J. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the church.
