Obituary of Natalie A. Allshouse

Jeffrey A. Nelson, 58, of Panama, NY, lived and loved life from May 17, 1957 to September 22, 2015, when he passed from this life at 7:45 p.m. in his home following a brief illness. He was born in Buffalo, NY a son of Janet Bolin Anderson and Roger N. Nelson. Jeff was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from August 15, 1975 to January 25, 1977. Prior to his illness, he owned and operated Nelson's Tile and Home Contracting for 28 years and most recently owned a small beef farm with his family. He was affiliated withthe Panama United Methodist Church and was a life member of the National Elk Foundation. He was a generous supporter of his family and the Panama Community. His love for God and the outdoors consumed his spare time with his passion for hunting and fishing. He loved spending summer weekends and holidays with his nine grandchildren. They were the highlight of his life and no words can express how proud he was of them all. Surviving are his mother, Janet Bolin Anderson of Jamestown, his father, Roger (Deann) Nelson of Jamestown, his wife of 27 years, Julia A. Morton Nelson whom he married March 12, 1988, his children, Jeffrey Nelson, Genesis Moore, Daniel Moore, Luke (Katie) Moore, nine grandchildren, Paige Munson, Cole Munson, Connor Tremblay, Landyn Moore, Mason Moore, Andrew Perry, Ryan Perry, Ethyn Moore, Gregory McChesney, three sisters, Christine (Kwang) Song, Johanna (Neil) Hedin, Lorinda Peterson, three brothers, Alex (Kim) Nelson, James (Betty) Anderson, Richard (Jeanne) Anderson, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father Maurice Anderson. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Taylor, pastor of the Panama United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
