Obituary of Joyce E. Swatt

Joyce E. Swatt, 62, of Frew Run Road Frewsburg, passed away Wednesday December 16, 2015 in WCA Hospital. She was born July 1, 1953 in Bradford, PA the daughter of Bradley L. and Nancy L. Wymer Swatt Sr. Joyce attended Southwestern Schools and for many years worked at Phoenix Metal, retiring due to ill health. Her favorite times were those spent with her grandchildren. She also loved the outdoors, especially sitting by the camp fire, and vacationing with her fiancé, Ken. Surviving besides her mother of Jamestown are her fiancé, Kenneth Yocum of Frewsburg; a son, Ronald (Dawn) Mesler; a daughter, Jennifer (Brett) Centi; seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Ronald, and Alanna Mesler; Dylan and Haven Centi; Aubrin (Dan) Penhollow; Lauren (Dustin) Gutknecht; three great grandchildren, Hailey, Luke, and Evain; all of Jamestown; siblings, Sharon L. Beane of Irvine, PA; Susan M. Barr, Bradley L. Swatt Jr. (Donald Anderson) all of Jamestown; Mary (Eric) Parr of Olean; James (Suzzane) Swatt of Castile; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her father, her step mother, Margie Swatt; a brother in law, James Beane; and a nephew, Matthew Swatt. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Heather Allport-Cohoon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday (two hours prior to the service) in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a Veterans' group of your choice.
