Obituary of Ann Marie Hunter

Ann Marie Hunter, 53, of Gerry, NY, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident for most of her life, she was born September 27, 1962 in Lexington, OH, a daughter of Rex E. Riddle and Bonnie Riddle Suppo. In previous years she was a waitress for several restaurants in the Jamestown area including, Taco Hut, Stage Left and the Ironstone restaurant. She will be remembered for her courage and bravery during her extended illness. She never complained and was always willing to help others. She also enjoyed spending time on Holden Beach, NC. Surviving is her father, Rex Riddle of Sumter, SC, her mother, Bonnie (Peter) Suppo of Brocton, NY, her husband, Jeffrey L. Hunter of West Ellicott, two daughters, Casey Hunter and Leigh Hunter both of Jamestown, two sisters, Sheryl Johnson of Palm Bay, FL, Julie Hackett of Sumter, SC and a brother, Tom (Trina) Riddle all of Sumter, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey R. Riddle who died December 3, 1977 and her step-mother Patricia Riddle who died August 8, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Cathy Smith, Chaplain of Hospice Chautauqua County will officiate. Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, in the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701 or to a charity of one's choice. The family of Ann Marie would like to thank the staff of Heritage Village for their excellent care and compassion over the last few years.
