Obituary of Dianne M. Lundsten

Dianne M. Lundsten, 68, of Ellington, NY, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 in WCA Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Gowanda, NY on September 28, 1947. Dianne had been employed by the former Lums Restaurant, the Office Restaurant in Kennedy and for a number of years as a cook and waitress for the Ellington Rod & Gun Club. She loved her family and cooking for them all – especially at Thanksgiving. She also enjoyed reading, blackberry picking, playing Bingo and going to the casino. In earlier years, Dianne was an excellent pool player. She is survived by her husband, James D. Lundsten whom after a twenty year engagement, she married on December 31, 1994; her father, Charles R. (Carolee) Cannon of Ellington; four children: Kimberly (Rory) Arp of Russell, PA, Ronald Blodgett of Texas, Tracy (Joe Goodwill) Tyma of Jamestown and Charles (Terra) Legg of Lakewood; four step-children: James (Karen) Lundsten of Falconer, Michael (Dawn) Lundsten of Randolph, Vicki Lundsten of Falconer and Debra (Randy) Luce of Kennedy; (19) grandchildren and (11) great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Cannon of Arlington, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Baker Cannon; and a brother, Robert E. Cannon. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Rodney Mileham of the East Randolph United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 Monday in the funeral home.
