Obituary of A. Eleanor Quilliam

A. Eleanor Quilliam, 91, formerly of High Acres Bemus Point, NY, passed away at 8:23 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, she was born October 6, 1924 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Helge and Hilda Hagstrom Kraft. Before her retirement at the age of 75, she was employed by the D & S Glass Service and in earlier years had worked for the former Proto tool Company, the Former Jamestown Veneer and Plywood and the former McKallor Drug Company. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to cook and bake for her family. Surviving are two daughters, Sue (Chuck) Bender of Bemus Point, Cynthia (Jim) LaRusch of Maryville, TN, a son, Stephen Quilliam of Batavia, NY, six grandchildren, Keith Bender of San Diego, CA, Sean Bender of Cookeville, TN, Jamie (Bunthy) Thap of Korea, Greg LaRusch of Maryville, TN, Jason (Jennifer) Quilliam of Batavia, NY, Nicholas (Katie) Quilliam of LeRoy, NY, six great grandchildren and a sister Irma Brown of CA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years William V. Quilliam whom she married September 29, 1945 and who died September 25, 2003 and two brothers Arnie and Richard Kraft.
