Obituary of Lois Rounds

Lois Marts Rounds, 83, of Ashville, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2016 in WCA Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold B. Rounds who passed in 2007. They were married for 56 years. Lois was born June 19, 1932 in Jamestown to the late Ross C. and Eva Whitney Marts. Lois was a 1949 honor graduate of Chautauqua Central School. Her early employers were Darling Jewelers and T. James Clark Box and Label Works. Lois was later employed for many years as the payroll manager of Minute Man/KwikFill, a division of United Refining. (Lakewood office) Surviving are her two devoted daughters, Susan (Kenneth) Johnson of Elkhart, IN and Deborah (Robert) Wells of Lakewood. She was truly blessed by the love of her grandchildren, Aaron (Kimberly) Anderson, Sanford, NC, Gregory (Heidy) Anderson, West Ellicott and Ashley Dole of Jamestown. She adored her great grandchildren, Katerina, August and Owen Anderson, Sanford NC, Baker, Samantha and Lily Ann Anderson, West Ellicott, Willa Anderson, Panama and Korene and Lillie Aldrich, Jamestown. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Lucille Marts of Ashville and Carol Marts of Littleton, NC, and a beloved nephew, George Beckerink, of Falconer. Lois was also preceded in death by a loving step-mother, Gladys T. Marts, and a sister, Anne Hewitt. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron and Gregory Anderson, Kenneth Johnson, Robert Wells, Neil Anderson and Paul Ransom. Lind Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no funeral or visitation. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750
