Obituary of Audrey C. Thompson

Audrey C. Thompson, 90, 33 Gifford Avenue, Jamestown, NY, formerly of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA passed away peacefully Sunday evening, January 31, 2016 at Heritage Green Healthcare Center, Jamestown. Her 4 children and husband were at her side. She was born on July 21, 1925 in Jamestown to the late Emory and Bernice Carlstrom Carlson. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School. She married Allan Thompson on July 12, 1947; he survives. Together they had four children: Diane (Don) Nelson of Jamestown, Mark (Cindy) Thompson of Jamestown, Marcia (Bob) Fleck of DuBois, and Patty (Pat) Reasinger of DuBois.She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She worked at Rockman's Super Duper and Probst Hardware in Jamestown before moving to DuBois where she worked at Riverside Market. During her 50 year residence in DuBois, she was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the Joy Circle. She was an avid golfer having served as co-chairwoman of the Ladies' Golf Association of the DuBois Country Club for many years. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society selling Daffodils every Spring. She loved to knit, travel, dance, and spend time with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother E. Roland Carlson and a sister Clarice Hornell. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27, 11 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church, DuBois, PA.
