Obituary of Katheryn M. Chamberlin

Katheryn M. Stein Chamberlin, 65, of 142 Swan St. Jamestown, passed away at 5:59 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016. A lifelong are resident she was born December 6, 1950 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Bertil and Mona Newton Stein. Katheryn was a 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Business College. She was employed for 17 years as a housekeeper and cook for the St. James Catholic Church and was previously employed as a waitress for several local restaurants including Lisciandro's Restaurant for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Falconer Women of the Moose. She was also associated with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Surviving are a son, Michael Dziubinski of Mayville, NY, a daughter, Katina Chamberlin Glenn of Jamestown, four grandchildren, Ayla Chamberlin Myers, Brittany Glenn, Collin Dziubinski, Jason Dziubinski all of Jamestown, four great grandchildren, Alexis Chamberlin, Karley Myers, Lillian Myers, Bailey Glenn, a brother, Kenneth Stein of Jamestown and a sister, Margaret Jensen of Dunkirk, NY. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Carl Stein, two sisters, Sue Stein, Elizabeth Howard, a nephew, Shawn Valone and her step-father, Raymond Jensen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer, NY. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 7:45 p.m. Friday. A prayer service for her sister Susan Stein who died February 13, 2015, will be offered as part of the service Friday evening in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, 625 Abbott Rd. Buffalo, NY 14220.
