Obituary of Jill M. Hamrick

Jill M. Hamrick, 35, of Gerry, NY passed away Tuesday February 9, 2016 in WCA Hospital the result of an automobile accident. She was born October 8, 1980 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Dana B. and Denise K. VanOrd Hamrick. Jill was employed at the Red Roof Inn and previously at Community Helping Hands. She was a devoted Mom to her three children and had a deep love for her entire family. She was always there for her kids. Family was everything. Jill was a very caring person always willing to help others. She loved the Lord and had a positive outlook on life. She could light up any room that she entered. She also enjoyed country music, singing, dancing, fishing, and playing Bingo. Surviving besides her parents of Kennedy are her three children, Jacob and Nathan Jones both of Gerry; Kayley Hamrick of Barcelona; her fiancé Jamie Nelsen of Gerry; two brothers, Andrew Hamrick of Falconer; Clayton Hamrick of Jamestown; paternal grandparents Tommy B. and Virginia Lee Hamrick of West Virginia; her sons grandmother Diane Strain; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Buddy. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents George and Blanche VanOrd. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday (two hours prior to the service) in the funeral home. Pastors Don and Sandy DeAngelo of the Faith Outreach Center Church will co-officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery Ellington, NY. The family wishes to thank everyone especially the Red Roof Inn in Falconer; American Contracting; and George and Sue Canada for all of the support given to them during this difficult time.
