Obituary of Thomas A. Frankiewicz

Thomas A. Frankiewicz, 62, of 243 Broadhead Avenue, died Thursday April 7, 2016, in WCA Hospital. A native of Dunkirk, he was born August 19, 1953, the son of the late Donald and Florence Bielaszka Frankiewicz. Tom was a 1971 graduate of Dunkirk High School. He had worked for Elman's Garage, Thruway Sunoco and Hydro Fumigating. His memberships include Jamestown and Celoron Moose Lodges, Frewsburg American Legion and the Allen Park Men's Club. He enjoyed grilling, making Polish pickles, working on cars and Gravely tractors and fishing with his grandsons. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and NHRA. Surviving is his wife Margaret "Peg" Christian Frankiewicz, whom he married April 6, 1974; three children Thomas C. Frankiewicz and Laura (Kevin) Breeding, both of Jamestown and Jeffrey Frankiewicz of Fredonia; four grandsons Christian and Taylor Frankiewicz and Jonathan and Zachary Breeding; an uncle Norman Bielaszka of Arizona; niece Kelly Murphy of Jamestown; nephew Christopher Murphy of Youngsville, PA; great niece Brianna Raymond of Jamestown; several cousins including James Bak, Gerri Moon, Ron Przybelinski and Kathy Szabo to whom he was especially close; mother-in-law Florence Christian; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Linda and Dennis Murphy and longtime friends Audrey Buck, John Barlow and Brian Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dana Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
