Obituary of Louise M. Saeli

Louise M. Saeli, 89, of Chautauqua Colony in Lakewood, passed away, surrounded by family, in her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She was born April 8, 1927 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Samuel and Edvige Patrucco Saeli, Sr. A 1945 graduate of Jamestown High School, she in earlier years was employed by Jamestown Mutual Insurance and the Hotel Jamestown as a secretary and auditor. She later worked as receptionist and bookkeeper in the offices of Dr. Peter P. Vitanza and for many years, Dr. Robert G. Ney. She attended St. Peter & Paul Church and Sacred Heart Church in Lakewood over the years. Louise enjoyed bowling, golfing, walking with friends, reading, crossword puzzles and of course, bingo and playing cards with close friends. She particularly enjoyed traveling with friends and family and the many trips to California to be with her best friends, her late brother Sam and his wife Ella Saeli. Together they traveled through California, Nevada, Arizona, and into Mexico. Louise also enjoyed being with their children, her nephews Randy, Mark and Lance Saeli and their families while in California. She is survived by another nephew, Randy Turner of St. Louis and locally, nieces Toni Wulf, Marie Saeli and Wendy Abbey; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Her brother, Joseph Saeli of Jamestown survives her as well. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Saeli, Jr. and his wife, Ella; and a sister, Frances Turner from Warren, PA. Louise's wishes were fulfilled through her donation to the University of Buffalo's Anatomical Gift Program. Per her request, there will be no visitation. A private family interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
