Obituary of Bonnie J. Travis

Bonnie J. Cardone Travis, 69, of 221 Peterson Street Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 21, 2016 in WCA Hospital. She was born October 18, 1946 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Frank and Maxine Ferry Cardone Sr. Bonnie was a graduate of Jamestown High School and in earlier years worked at Love School as a Kindergarten Aide. She enjoyed playing BINGO, watching scary movies, and reading. Her most favorite times were being with her grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Shane Messere (Maureen Brentley); Greg Messere (Missy Cardone); a daughter, Amy Taylor-Mattson (Thomas Mattson) all of Jamestown; ten grandchildren, Austin, Tristin, Montana, Mateo, Cynthia, Gregory, and Nicholas Messere; Danielle, Ericka, and Dylan Taylor; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Damien, and Blake Taylor; Domenic, Cecilia, and Vivienne Kum; Brycen Dukett; three brothers, Ralph (Paula) Cardone; Dennis (Carolyn) Cardone; Jim (Gloria) Cardone; many nieces and nephews, including Frank, Tim, Michael and Tom Cardone to whom she was like a second Mom; and her best friends, Kathy Phillips, Donna Dye., and Wendy Eddy Heim. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michelle Renee Travis; two brothers, Frank and Greg Cardone; and her best friend, Carm Dalrymple. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Carolyn Stow, pastor of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (two hours prior to the service) in the funeral home.
