Obituary of Antonino Miceli

Antonino "Tony" Miceli Sr., 73, of Jamestown, NY passed away on April 23, 2016 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. He was born October 30, 1943 in Lercara Friddi, Sicily and moved to the US in 1968. Tony was a master stain glass maker before coming to the US where he worked at Malleable Iron in Jamestown and Interlectric in Warren, PA. He also owned and operated along with his brother John a grape vineyard in Forestville, NY. Tony enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and his dog Vito. Surviving are his wife Linda Gilbert Miceli whom he married on July 1, 1972; his four sons, Antonino Miceli Jr. of Jamestown; Marco Miceli of Ashville, NY; Carlo Miceli of Jamestown; and Francesco Miceli of Jamestown; seven grandchildren, Marisa, Zackery, Olivia, Brock, Mason, Nolan, and Ethan Miceli; three brothers, John Miceli of Fredonia; Frank Miceli of New Hampshire; Dan Miceli of Jamestown; two sisters, Josephine Massimi of Indiana; Rose Massimi of Canada; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Concetta Miceli; and his sister, Maria Miceli. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
