Obituary of Jacob A. Shepherd

Jacob A. Shepherd, 34, of Bemus Point, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 12, 2016, in Jamestown. He was born October 7, 1981, in Jamestown, the youngest son of Don and Judy Lindsey Shepherd. Jake was a 2000 graduate of Maple Grove Central School. He graduated in 2002 from Alfred State University with a degree in culinary arts. He enjoyed cooking, vastly improving his skills from hot dogs and hot sauce as a kid to honing his craft in Las Vegas. When back home in New York, you would find him out fishing with his grandpas, his brother, or his vast array of friends. Jake lived to make people laugh and he always succeeded. Surviving, besides his parents of Red Rock, AZ, are two brothers, James (Susan) Schebell of Richmond, VA and Jeremy Shepherd of Bemus Point; a sister Jessica (Marc) Cain of Cassadaga; five nieces and nephews, Nikolai, Nathaniel and Olivia Cain and Quinn and Avery Schebell; and grandparents Bertha Shepherd of Lakewood and George and Frances Lindsey of Dewittville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Charlie Shepherd. No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
