Obituary of Tristan J. Wassman

Tristan J. Wassman, 31, of Ellicott Shores Celoron, passed away unexpectedly Friday June 3, 2016 in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born December 2, 1984 in Jamestown the son of Gregory W. and Susanne Covey Wassman. Tristan was a 2003 graduate of Southwestern Central High School. He was employed by The Resource Center. His interest in space led him to the Lucile M. Wright Air Museum where he volunteered and shared his knowledge. Tristan was a pleasant, independent, outgoing young man who loved life to the fullest and who was loved by everyone he met. He had a strong faith in God. He was also a dreamer, and loved animals, and building Lego's. Surviving besides his parents of West Ellicott are a sister, Alicia (Cy) Wassman-Bello of Jamestown; four nephews, Porter, Harland, Kayden, and Riley; and a niece, Lilly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A Celebration of Tristan's life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday June 6, 2016 in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. (three hours prior to the celebration) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lucile M. Wright Air Museum, 300 N. Main Street, Jamestown, NY 14701; the Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave. Jamestown, NY 14701; New Leash On Life, 12 Lucy Lane, Jamestown, NY 14701; or to a charity of choice.
