Obituary of Daniel F. Scalise

Daniel F. Scalise, 70, of 118 Trenton Avenue, died Friday June 10, 2016, in his home. A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born February 11, 1946, a son of the late Andrew and Rose Lovecchio Scalise, Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Southwestern Central School. Prior to his retirement he was employed by The Resource Center as a consultant. In earlier years he was part owner of Scalise Construction. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are his wife of 51 years the former Jaclin Jennings, whom he married March 27, 1965; a daughter Kimberly Dengler of Winchester, VA; two grandsons Mark and Nicholas Dengler of Winchester; siblings Andrew J. (Shirley) Scalise, Sr., Jean (Richard) Glad and Anita (David) Harris all of Jamestown; mother-in-law Barbara Jennings of Lakewood and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Daniel F. Scalise, Jr. in 2001; a brother Roger Scalise in 1950 and his father-in-law James Jennings in 2010. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at the family home 118 Trenton Street.
