Obituary of Daniel R Dustin

Daniel "Dusty" R. Dustin, age 69, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was born in Jamestown, on April 23, 1947, a son of the late Franklin C. and Elsie Clark Dustin. Dusty graduated from Jamestown High School in 1966 and then went on to serve in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was stationed in Ft. Riley Kansas and then during the Vietnam era, served in Korea as a specialist 4th Class Infantry. From 1967 to 1968 he was in the DMZ zone as an MP in B Co 3d BN 23d INF. He then went on to work for Barmore-Sellstrom, AZ Waste, Waste Management, and Casella as a truck driver, retiring in 2007. Dusty enjoyed reading, car shows, swap meets, traveling, a connoisseur of food, riding his motorcycle with the Goldwing Club Chapter U and the Donut Connection Riders. He was a member of the War Vets, American Legion, and was an avid NASCAR Fan. He was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America which he took great pride in. Dusty would lighten up a room with his sense of humor and would make you laugh with his antics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis E. Burkett Dustin, his brother Franklin C. Dustin Jr, and his Great Granddaughter Chloe Ellise Parks. He is survived by the love of his life Debbie Milk, brother Thomas (Sue) Dustin, daughter, Hope (Walter) Boyden of McKean, PA, sons Dan (Pam) Hanson of Russell, PA, Christopher Milk of Jamestown, N.Y, Jesse Milk and Cheyenne Marsh of Randolph, N.Y., Charlie Milk and Heather Morse of Jamestown, N.Y., Granddaughters, Heather (Ken) Parks of Erie, PA, Sarah McCaslin and her Fiancé Raymond Kavinski of Erie, PA, Purity and Charlotte Milk, Seneca, Lakota, and Kya Marsh, Grandsons, Nathan Hanson, Skyler and Julian Milk, Great-grandsons Zachary Dawison, Kenny John and Owen Parks, Max Marsh, nieces, Tammy Nelson and her Fiancé Roger Mighells of Jamestown, N.Y., Terry (T.J.) Hodges of Shelby, MI , Tina (Scott) Doud of Jamestown N.Y, nephew, Brian (Lynn) Dustin of North East , PA, and his beloved dog Peter. A graveside memorial service with full military honors will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday June 27, 2016 in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday in the Lind Funeral Home.
