Obituary of Doris L. Danielson

Doris L. Danielson, 94, formerly of Lakewood, NY, Trask Rd. Jamestown and Naples, FL, passed away at 8:04 a.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, she was born July 15, 1922 in Jamestown, NY, the only child of the late Reuben and Esther Gustafson Lofgren. Before her retirement years she was associated with her late husband in the family business Danielson Oil Company which was founded in 1950. She was a longtime member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, the Zonta International, Norden Women's Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a past president of the Jamestown Boy's and Girl's Club. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with family and friends in Florida. Surviving are her four children, Dorine (Robert) Kelly of Lexington, KY, Thomas (Shirley) Danielson, Mark (Christine) Danielson, Charles Danielson all of Jamestown, NY, three grandchildren, Andrew Danielson, Michelle (Jason) Faulk both of Jamestown, Anne (Alex) Wells of CA, and five great grandchildren, Ayden and Alyson Danielson, Morgan, Trey and Jaxson Faulk. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Verland H. Danielson whom she married July 6, 1946 and who died June 16, 2012 and a granddaughter, Meagan Danielson who died May 10, 2004. The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan W. Anderson, pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
