Obituary of Jacqueline M. Christenson

Jacqueline M. Christenson, 88, of 165 Aldren Ave., formerly of Roland Rd. Jamestown, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. She was born March 24, 1928 in Lorraine Ohio the daughter of the late Frank McGee and the late Estelle Sheppard McGee Caldwell. "Jackie" was a graduate of Lakewood High School, Lorraine, OH and attended St. Mary's - Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in Cleveland, OH. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Jamestown Metal Products for 20 years. In earlier years she had worked for Eastern Plywood, W.C.A. Hospital and the former Learner's Women's Store. Surviving are her son, Reynold Christenson of Rochester, NY, four grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Christenson, Stephen Christenson, Amy Galati, Tricia Mohney, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including nephew Bruce Anderson of Jamestown, who was her caregiver for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley L. "Chick" Christenson whom she married November 30, 1946 and who died September 13, 2016, a son, Timothy L. Christenson and three sisters, Regina Eisenman, Marian Tillison, Irene Moore. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, chaplain of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
