Obituary of Ryan Christopher Spriggs

Ryan Christopher Spriggs passed away unexpectedly on February 7th, 2017 at age 32. Ryan was a graduate of Southwestern Central High School and attended Jamestown Community College and Erie Community College, where he completed an associate's degree. Ryan served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 3/8 India Co. from 2004-2008, in which he served in Al-Karmah, Iraq (2005), Ramadi, Iraq (2006), and on the 22nd Meu. U.S.S. Kearsarge in 2007. Ryan also served in Quantico (2008-09) prior to discharge. Through his service, life, and friendships with others, Ryan's sense of humor, generosity, dedication, loyalty, and loving heart cast a light on those who had the privilege of calling him friend, family, or comrade. Ryan is pre-deceased by his father, William Spriggs and survived by his mother, Christine (Bradley) Rolfe; brother William Spriggs, sister Andrea Spriggs, step-grandmother Rachael Spieler, and aunt Shaina (Craig) Ferguson. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Lind Funeral Home, 805 West 3rd. St., Jamestown, NY 14701. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service in the funeral home. Full Military honors will be conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 865, Jamestown, NY.
