Obituary of Timothy J. Milliman, Sr.

Timothy J. Milliman, Sr., 58, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 in his home on Pancake Hill Road in Bemus Point after a yearlong battle with ALS. He was the husband of Jeanne Ingerson Milliman, whom he married September 10, 1977. Tim was born October 7, 1958 in Jamestown, a son of the late Carl H. and Loretta Woodcock Milliman. A veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1977 to 1985, Tim and his wife, Jeanne, were residents of Nebraska from 1977 until 2014 when they returned to the family home in Bemus Point. While in the service, Tim was an aircraft mechanic. He then owned and operated Tim's Road Service in Nebraska where he received the 'White Hat Award' in 1995 and later designated an 'Admiral in the Great State of Nebraska', as awarded by the governor of the state. He then worked for Mechanic's, Inc. until 2014. In addition to his wife Jeanne, surviving are four children: Jennifer (Jasen) Andersen of Ashland, NE, Jeremy (Dhani) Milliman of Bemus Point, David (Jessica) Milliman of Bellevue, NE and Timothy J. Milliman, Jr. of Ashland, NE; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Priscilla Curry of Jamestown; and three brothers: Harry (Priscilla) Milliman of Frewsburg, Carl (Sylvia) Milliman of Gilbert, AZ and Jamie Milliman of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994 and mother in 2007; a grandson, Jamisen Milliman; and two brothers, Thomas and Edward Milliman. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Witherington will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Friday. Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation or the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum for the restoration of the EC-135 'Looking Glass'.
