Obituary of Pauline E. Jones

Pauline E. "Polly" Jones, 76, of 1538 Orr St. Jamestown, passed away at 7:12 pm Monday, March 6, 2017, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident since 1960, she was born November 26, 1940 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Clyde and Elnora Covey Casey. She was a graduate of Erie Academy High School and earned her associates degree from Jamestown Community College in 1985. Before her retirement she was a youth counselor for the Gustav Adolphus Children's Home. She was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in many groups and activities at the church. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to do crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Omer S. Jones whom she married November 6, 1959, her four children, Ted W. (Sharon) Jones of North East, PA, Sheila M. (John) Fabian of Frewsburg, NY, Shellie L. Jones of Busti, Tim P. Jones of Jamestown, 12 grandchildren, Peter Jones, Beau Jones, Michael Jones, Matthew Jones, Sarah Ziolkowski, Rusty Stewart, John Fabian, Jill Mullen, Dustin Fabian, Heidi Fabian, Preston Jones, Dawson Jones, 9 great grandchildren and 6 sisters, Marjorie Stewart, Barbara Pencille, Patty Otteni, Beverly Johnson, Debbie Norton and Darla Samson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Isiah Jones. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Nagle, pastor of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
