Obituary of Jimmy A. Schauers

Jimmy A. Schauers, Sr., 58, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home in Celoron, NY following three courageous battles with cancer. He was born September 30, 1958 in Jamestown and was a graduate of Southwestern Central School. For many years, Jim was employed by Lobb's Mobil in Frewsburg, where he was known by many as "Jim Bob". He was an avid hunter and big fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. #3, and Stateline Speedway racer #28, his son Chad Schauers. Surviving are five children: William Pearson of Jamestown, Elizabeth (Neil) Fann of Fairview, OR, Jimmy Schauers, Jr. of Jamestown, and Chad (Onnalee) Schauers and Coty Schauers, both of Frewsburg; and seven grandchildren: Ashley Pearson, Tyler Keefe, Garret Fann, Jimmy Schauers III, Serenity Schauers, Azzariah Schauers and Kendra Schauers. Also surviving are two sisters, Jody (Joseph Sr.) Glover and Tammy (William) Gardner, both of Jamestown; and three nephews and a niece, Joshua Glover, Andrew Glover, William Gardner and Bianca Gardner. Others very near and dear to Jim are Mindy Sanfilippo, Michelle and Michael Gonzales and their son, Logan, and Mariah Green. He also enjoyed meeting his buddies, Randy Nelson and Cooper at Celoron Park for coffee. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy E. Schauers in 1973 and mother, Flora Delle Schauers Pintagro in 2011. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Cathy Smith, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Please make donations to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W.
