Obituary of Jeffrey A. Oleshak

Jeffrey A. Oleshak, 62, of 199 Clyde Ave. Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2017, in Tionesta, PA. An area resident for most of his life, he was born March 13, 1955 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Andrew and Norma J. Start Oleshak. Jeff was a 1973 graduate of Jamestown High where he excelled in gymnastics. He was a loving , kind and caring man who loved his family. He enjoyed spending time boating on Chautauqua Lake. He also had a soft spot in his heart for animals. Jeff was owner of United Alloys Research and Development, Inc. in Jamestown, NY for several years. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Diana Gray Oleshak whom he married August 11, 1991, a daughter, Andrea (Darron) Thorpe, a son, Jeffrey J. "JJ" Oleshak both of Jamestown, a grandson, Gavin Thorpe, two brothers, Timothy Oleshak of Jamestown, Duncan Oleshak of Lakewood and his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Tracy Whitmere and family of Callensburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew who died in 1977 and his mother Norma who died in 2001. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Jared Heaton, pastor of the Lakewood Baptist Church will officiate. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service in the funeral home.
