Obituary of Daniel S. Larson

Daniel S. Larson, 57, of 3334 Anderson Road, died unexpectedly Wednesday June 14, 2017, as the result of a hunting accident. He was born October 2, 1959, in Jamestown, a son of Hesper Chadwick Larson Loomis and the late James Larson. He was a 1977 graduate of Southwestern Central School and had been employed by Anderson Precision as a tool maker for 33 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and his family and friends meant the world to him. Dan always worked hard to be a provider for his family. His other passion was farming on his family farm and raising his cows. He was a kind and gentle hearted man who would do anything for anyone. He was loved by so many. Surviving besides his mother of Busti is his wife Theresa "Terrie" Paloncy Larson, whom he married December 2, 1978; three children, Nicole (Mike) Weaver of Panama, Katie (Scott) Weilacher and Jim (Amy) Larson of Busti; grandchildren, Ashlynn and Norah Weaver, Peyton and Ethan Weilacher, Conway Larson and another Larson boy on the way; a brother, Andy Larson of Kennedy; a sister, Rhonda Harp of Busti; in-laws, Floyd and Sylvia Proctor of Busti and Frank Paloncy of Spring Creek, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James Larson in 2001. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Busti Church of God. Rev. Roy Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in the Busti Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. tonight in the Lind Funeral Home and following the service Saturday in the Family Life Center of the church.
