Obituary of Gladys J. Bolles

Gladys J. Bolles, 91, of 34 Merlin Ave WE Jamestown, passed away peacefully Thursday July 20, 2017 in her home. She was born February 12, 1926 in Davenport, FL the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Roehlk Sine. For several years, Gladys worked at the Jamestown Sam's Club. In earlier years, she was a hairdresser on Dunham Ave in Celoron. She was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where she attended the Wednesday group and worked in the Thrift Store. Gladys also enjoyed nature and was an avid bird watcher. Surviving are two daughters: Gayla Swartzman (Don) of Jamestown; Carla Swineford (Gary Bell) of Ashville; a son: Dana Bolles (Celeste) of Erie, PA; a son-in-law: Michael Giordano of Jamestown; nine grandchildren: Chad Swartzman, Curtis Swartzman (Renee), Craig Swineford (April), Michelle Micciche, Jennifer Benedetto (Sam), Whitney Bolles, Jeffrey Bolles (Jessica), Adam Giordano, and Amy Giordano; 16 great grandchildren; two great great twin granddaughters; a brother: Alan Sine (Kim) of Wake Forest, NC; a sister: Betty Lou Hickok of Lenoir, NC; her caregiver: Karen Thompson; and her kitty cat Savannah. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry W. Bolles on June 11, 1994; a daughter, Rhonda Giordano on August 27, 2006; a granddaughter, Cassie Swineford on September 3, 1994; and a brother, Ross Sine. A memorial service will be held at St Luke's Episcopal Church at a time to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home.
