Obituary of Dolores M. Rewers

Dolores M Rewers, 81, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully Thursday December 21, 2023, at UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by her family. She was born February 18, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Casimir "Charlie" and Valeria "Violet" Hojna Rewers. Dolores was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School. Following high school, she began working at Chautauqua National Bank (now KeyBank) as a bookkeeper for over 30 years until she retired. Dee loved to travel and visited over 40 states throughout the years. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading the news, and following politics. She was a lifelong member of Holy Apostles Parish and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also volunteered at the Chautauqua Sport Hall of Fame and Lutheran Social Service for many years. Surviving is her sister Patricia "Patty" Rewers; her two God children Matt Prescott, Amy Krzeszewski; her cousin Don Olsen and many more cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm Friday, December 29, 2023, in Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home.
