Obituary of Beverly A. Becker

Beverly A. Becker, 91, of Brookdale, formally of Sampson Street, Jamestown, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident all her life, she was born January 10, 1933, in Jamestown, the daughter of Harold and Margaret Larson Lindsay. She was a 1951 graduate of Frewsburg High School. Prior to her retirement she was a long-time sales associate at Sears and earlier had worked for the Empire State Mutual Life Insurance Company. She was a former member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun and the American Legion Auxiliary. In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed golfing, bowling, visiting casinos and traveling with family and friends. She also could always be found on the dance floor whenever there was music to dance to. She looked forward to her Manhattans and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Bolling of Jamestown and her son Bill (Mary Jo) Becker of Concord, NC, her 6 grandchildren Chris (Renee) Becker, Ryan (Lauren) Becker, Meghan (Chad) Murray, Kaitlin (Paul) Coleman, Andrew Becker, Jeremy Becker, her 4 great-grandchildren Tommy and PJ Becker, Kendyl and Declan Murray, and her brother James Lindsay of Arizona. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Becker whom she married July 6, 1951, and who died July 16, 1996, her son Jeff Becker and his wife Wendy, and her son-in-law Ray Bolling. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Ivory Cemetery. No visitation will be observed. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
