Obituary of Timothy W. Mara

Timothy W. Mara, born October 14, 1951, has gone to be with his Creator on March 1, 2024. He leaves behind the love of his life, Jan Parsons Mara, and many family members and friends. Those who knew Tim, knew he loved being with his friends and family to talk and tell his many stories, cook, barbecue, entertain, hunt, fish, cut down trees and share the wood, share his skills and knowledge, go cart racing, and flying gliders and teaching students for over 30 years. Tim was very competitive and loved a challenge. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida and making wonderful lasting friendships. Tim was a proud Marine and ran a successful business selling airplane and glider parts and equipment. Tim loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He said his bucket list was complete and he had no regrets. He cherished his many friendships, especially the guys he grew up with - You all made his life complete. A man of amazing faith, Tim was looking forward to eternity with his Creator. Friends will be received from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 6th in the Lind Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a time to share memories of Tim and to honor his life.
