Obituary of Elizabeth C. Perry

Elizabeth C. Perry, 59, of 135 W. Summit Street, Lakewood, died Sunday March 3, 2024, in UPMC Chautauqua after a long and courageous battle with ALS and MG. A native of Dunkirk, she was born August 28, 1964, a daughter of Janice Meadows Crecraft. She was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She was a member of Lakeshore Assembly of God and in prior years she was active in children's ministry. Always caring for and about others she founded the Chronic Illness Support Group and volunteered with Haiti's Compass. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, antiquing, and camping. She loved Allegany State Park and spending time with her family, especially with her grandson. Elizabeth's family wishes to thank her aide Lisa Day, VNA nurses and care team, UPMC ICU nurses and staff, the ALS Association of Western New York, and the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Team. Surviving is her husband William "Bill" Perry, whom she married January 23, 1987; two daughters Heather Corsi of Washington, DC and Alisha Perry of Lakewood; grandson Aiden Perry of Lakewood and siblings Michael and Steven Patterson, Joel Crecraft and Theresa Ranney. She was preceded in death by her mother. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Lakewood Bentley Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
