Obituary of Karen Lee Seeley

Karen Lee Kitelinger Sasserson Seeley, 75, passed away on March 27, 2024, at 1:59 a.m., at UPMC-Chautauqua Hospital in Jamestown, NY due to multiple organ failure. She was born at Warren General Hospital on July 25,1948, the only daughter of late Paul E. Kitelinger and Dolores (Sasserson) Kitelinger Wells Renda. She was also the adopted daughter of the late Sigfred I. & Helen (Osoba) Sasserson. She married David W. Seeley on April 26, 1969, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Warren, PA. They were one month shy of celebrating their 55th anniversary. They have lived in the Ashville-Panama area ever since. She held many temp positions throughout Chautauqua County. She was a past member of the OES of Sherman and Harmony Historical Society. She is survived by her husband, David; a daughter Kristyne (Michael) Whitmore, with whom she resided; two sons, Lynn (Ann Sweeney) and Geoffrey (Christine), all of Ashville; eight grandchildren, David (Nickala), Lindsey (Brad), Rebekah (Zach), Carleigh, Rylynn, Alic, Angel and Owen; five step-grandchildren, Adisson (Joyce), Melissa (Kyle), Hannah, Avery, John (Mary); five great-sons; six step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Donna Miller, sister in-law Joyce Miller, and two brother in-laws, Wayne (Marilyn) Seeley and Dennis (Denise) Seeley, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by six stepsiblings. She was predeceased by her birth father Paul in 2013, birth mother Dolores in 2016, adopted father Sigfred in 1974, adopted mother Helen in 1989, her in-laws Roger & Seeley, both in 2008, a great-grandson in 2009 and two brother-in-laws, Ross Miller in 2008 and Charles Miller in 2021, also by four step-siblings. In keeping with Karen's wishes no visitation or funeral services will be observed. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
