Obituary of Janice E. Duval

Janice E. Duval, 72, of 21 W. 12th Street, died Wednesday April 3, 2024, in UPMC Hamot. A native of Logan, WV, she was born June 25, 1951, a daughter of Donald and Eileen Leeper Coulter. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a custodian. She earlier had worked for James Prendergast Library, Manor Oak Nursing Home, Jamestown Plywood and Fenton Park Nursing Home. She was a member of North Main Street Church of God. Janice enjoyed playing bingo and cards, cooking, and shopping but more than anything she loved her grandchildren. Surviving is her mother, Eileen Leeper Coulter of Jamestown; her husband Royce Duval, whom she married May 12, 1979; two children Tyson Coulter and Ronquike Duval Maisonet; fifteen grandchildren; twenty- two great grandchildren and siblings Gloria Coulter Butler, Darlene Coulter Campbell, Princess Coulter, Joan Ferguson, Cynthia Lee, Deborah Kent, and Yvonne Conner. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Coulter; a daughter Ebony Roxanne Duval; great granddaughter Samaya Maisonet and brother Donald Coulter, Jr. The funeral will be held at Noon Thursday April 11, 2024, in Healing Word Ministries.
