Obituary of Celeste Anne Hummel

CELESTE ANNE HUMMEL AKA GRANDMA PEACHES On April 10, 2024, Me and my sisters had extremely heavy hearts and waterfalls running from our eyes. As we lost one of the most amazing mothers God has ever blessed this world with. At 9:37 at Hamot hospital in Erie PA, God called Celeste Anne Hummel Home. And since then, there are countless hearts all over the world that mourn for that amazing woman. You see, ever since she gave birth to her first child, Sarah Hummel. She knew what she was put on this earth for. That was to love her kids with all her heart every single day! She went on to have two more amazing kids. Shaun hummel and Sammy Jo Hummel. Who all have expanded their families to bless her with some wonderful grandchildren as well. Owen, Ethan, Sophie, Haven, Mavis, Logan. So, every day since she gave birth to her first, she lived her life to love and cherish her children, grandchildren, and grandpups every second of every day, until she was called home. During her time here she had such a big heart for caring for others that some of her best memories were when she cared for people in hospice. Where she made many friends and even family. She gave each person she cared for a piece of her heart. But that's what she loved. She loved caring for others and blessing everyone with smiles, laughs, and kisses. (she had some of the best kisses on the cheek) And if you were blessed to have known her, I'm sure you received 1 or 10 from time to time!...I miss her tremendously. As I'm sure a ton of other people do as well. Because she had a smile to light up a room and a loving personality that people gravitated to. She left a few people behind, that I know she is up there counting down the days to when she will see them all again. Her brother Tim, and sister Monica as well as her best friend who also happened to be her sister Cathy Esterline and Brother-in-law Dennis Esterline. Whom she loved like no other, and whom she spent most of her time with. Watching the buckeyes win on Saturday to only watch the Brownies lose on Sunday. (Getting better at the ladder one though) My apologies for not getting something out to everyone sooner. She was such a wonderful mother and woman that my heart still aches for her and her amazing hugs! But she would want everyone to know.... Not to mourn her, but rather celebrate her and the time she gave us all while she was here. She's in a better place now free of pain with her mother Linda Clark and father Robert Sherman. And in light of Celeste's wishes, we will not be having a service to say goodbye. Everyone can do that on their own, in their own way. Thank you to everyone who has poured out your love and support to Us kids during this time of mourning. And sharing your heartfelt stories of how she blessed you! She will most definitely be missed by us all. And will always hold a special place in our hearts from now and forever. Until we meet again Mom, we love you, Sarah, Shaun, Sammy jo
