Obituary of Joanne C. Lasker

Joanne C. Erlandson Lasker, 78, of 132 Aldren Avenue, died Monday August 2, 2010, in her home. A native of Falconer, she was born August 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Harland and Lillian Anderson Morley. She was a 1949 graduate of Falconer Central School and later earned a degree from Jamestown Business College. She was employed by Myott and Mackowiak Accounting Firm as an office secretary. She was a member of Zion Covenant Church and volunteered at WCA Hospital for many years. Surviving are her husband Lawrence Lasker, whom she married October 8, 1994, three sons Jeffrey (Debra) Erlandson, Michael (Susan) Erlandson and Gary Erlandson, all of Jamestown; two stepchildren Kenneth (Abbie) Lasker of Lakewood and Lois Vatkin; eleven grandchildren Drew (Amanda) Erlandson, Kyle, Daniel and Emelie Erlandson, Daniel, Joshua and Eric Lasker, William, Ilana, Dylan and Esther Vatkin; and two great grandchildren, Owen and Finn Erlandson. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gordon Erlandson, who died in 1986 The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and for one hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home.
