Obituary of Etta M. Fetters

Etta M. Fetters, 84, of 607 West Seventh St., Jamestown passed away at 7:35 a.m. Sunday (September 19, 2010) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident since 1954, she was born February 5, 1926 in Latrobe, PA , one of twelve children to Homer and Lillian Little Wallace. She had previously worked for the former Firch's Bakery in Jamestown and in earlier years had worked for the former American Manufacturing which is now the Fancher Chair Company. She was a long time member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association and will be remembered as one who loved to play bingo and do crossword puzzles. Surviving is her husband of 67 years Paul E. Fetters whom she married July 17, 1943, a son Paul E. (Maleia) Fetters, Jr., a daughter Linda (John) Carney both of Jamestown, 8 grandchildren Rick Adams, Jr., Kevin Adams, Keith (Nadine) Adams all of Jamestown, Hope Fetters of Dallas, TX, Heidi Way of Erie, PA, Vicki Curtis, James Cramer both of St. Petersburg, FL, Tammy Bullock of Pinellas Park, FL, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters Shirley Baker of Franklinville, NY, Nancy Anderson of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by a daughter Virginia Olson who died in 1993, three infant children Martha, Sarah and Daniel Fetters, four sisters Edith Trout, Doris Stewart, Mary Christner, Jessie Brown and five brothers Homer, Lawrence, Eugene, Ralph and Ted Wallace. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lake View Cemetery. The Rev. Philip Shay will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
