Obituary of Marie A. Pavlock

Marie A. Pavlock, 87, formerly of 145 Chandler St. passed away at 7:00 p.m. Monday (December 27, 2010) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family. An area resident for most of her life she was born July 14, 1923 in Lansing, OH a daughter of the late Charles and Emmanuela Romano D'Angelo. She was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was previously employed in the employee cafeteria at W.C.A. Hospital for several years and was also very influential as a foster grandparent to many children. She was affectionately known as "Grandma Marie" at C.C. Ring Elementary School. In earlier years she was a chef for several Jamestown area restaurants including Joe Condella's Brass Rail and the former Embers Room Restaurant. Marie was a former member of the Zion Covenant Church and was active with the Jamestown Women of the Moose for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister who loved to cook and bake for her family. She also enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance. Surviving are two daughters Anna Mae Johnson of O'Fallon, MO, Carol V. (Steven) Puleo of Jamestown, a son Charles M. (Michelle) Pavlock, Jr. of Loveland, CO, five grandchildren Nichole Johnson of Jamestown, Stephanie (Bob) Dalton of Harborcreek, PA, Elizabeth (Thomas) Fred of Jamestown, C.J. Pavlock, Jessica Pavlock both of Loveland, CO, six great grandchildren, four brothers John D'Angelo of Lakewood, NY, Joseph D'Angelo of Gerry, NY, Thomas D'Angelo of Horseheads, NY, Frank (Karen) D'Angelo of Fitzgerald, GA and three sisters Philomena (late Andrew) Ippolito, Gloria (Ken) Martin both of Jamestown, Rosalie D'Angelo of O'Fallon, MO. and her sister in law Alice D'Angelo of FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father who died in 1968, her mother who died 1948, her husband Charles M. Pavlock, Sr. whom she married September 20, 1947 and who died March 6, 1969, two brothers Manuel and Peter D'Angelo, a daughter Charlotte E. Lacagno who died February 7, 2001, a son in law Ronald F. Lacagno who died March 9, 2003 and her step mother Raffaela D'Angelo who died May 20, 2003. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
