Obituary of Ruth M. Brant

Ruth M. Brant, 109, formerly of Franklinville, Little Valley and Loyalton of Lakewood, died Saturday April 9, 2011, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born October 22, 1901, in Bemus Point, the daughter of Joseph and Adella Griffith Kelly. She attended Jamestown Business College and was employed by Borden Company, Little Valley as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Little Valley Congregational Church and Eastern Star. She thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent playing bridge with her friends. Surviving are a daughter Bette Chappell of Parowan, UT; two sons Robert Brant of Rennselaer, IN and Albert J. "Bill" Brant of Traverse City, MI; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Paul Brant in 1975, a grandson John Chappell, a great grandson Terry Atchison and a half brother Ray Kelly.
