Obituary of Norma May Larson

Norma May Larson, 74, formerly of 45 Smith Ave., Celoron, died at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was born September 2, 1936 in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Rex and Frances Milks Fox. In earlier years, she had been employed as a waitress at the Penn Restaurant in Warren and Clair's Diner in Jamestown and as manager of the former Lums Restaurant. She later worked for 21 years at Falconer Metal Specialties in Lakewood, retiring in 1998. Norma enjoyed many activities such as cooking, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, macram, drawing and bowling. Her main interest though was her family. She is survived by her husband, Dan Larson of Celoron; two daughters, Cheryl Boland of Bell, FL and Kathleen Fox of Jamestown; a stepson, Chris Larson of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Jeni and Lyndsay Boland of Bell, FL, and Mia Larson and Jeremy S. Monteleone, both of Jamestown; two brothers, LeRoy Fox of Brocton and Cliff Carey if Erie, PA; and a sister, Eileen Furness of Dunkirk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elma Stevens. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Deacon Cathy Smith will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
